Parking in Wieliczka – key rules
Wieliczka – a city famous for its UNESCO-listed Salt Mine – has a Paid Parking Zone (SPP) covering the city centre. The zone is managed by the Municipal Road Department (GZD), and the legal basis is Resolution No. V/53/2019 of the Municipal Council of Wieliczka dated 26 February 2019. The SPP covers streets near the mine and Rynek Górny. The zone is uniform – a single tariff applies throughout the area.
Important: The SPP applies only on weekdays between 8:00 and 16:00, except on public holidays. Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays are free. Payment must be made immediately upon occupying a space. It is possible to purchase a ticket from 6:00 a.m. with charging starting from 8:00. Payment must be made immediately upon occupying a space. A ticket can be purchased from 6:00 a.m. with charging starting from 8:00. Within the purchased parking time you may change your parking space within the SPP. When paying with AnyPark mobile, use the Start/Stop feature to pay only for actual time.

No – in Wieliczka the SPP is free on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Charges apply only on weekdays between 8:00 and 16:00.

Parking fees in paid parking zones are not subject to VAT if the service is provided by the municipality and the parking area is classified as a public road. This applies to all payment methods – pay-and-display tickets and mobile payments via AnyPark. Accounting receipts for parking sessions are available in the mobile app or via the web account.
Electric vehicles (BEV) are exempt from parking fees in paid parking zones under the Act of 11 January 2018 on electromobility and alternative fuels. This is a nationwide regulation applicable throughout Poland, including Wieliczka. The rules apply until the end of 2027.
