General information

Parking in Warsaw – key rules (ZDM)

The Unguarded Paid Parking Zone (SPPN) managed by the City Roads Authority (ZDM) covers most of Warsaw's central districts. From 3 February 2025, the zone expanded to include Stary Mokotów, Wyględów, Wierzbno, Ksawerów, Sielce and parts of Sadyba. The expansion continues in 2026 – towards Służewiec, the area around Chopin Airport, Saska Kępa and Kamionek.

Important: If you park in a district recently added to the zone, always check on zdm.waw.pl whether your street is already subject to charges.

Enforcement system

How does the ZDM e-control system work?

Electric patrol cars with plate scanners – no traditional wardens
ZDM operates a fleet of electric vehicles (Nissan Leaf, Renault Zoe) fitted with cameras. The system automatically checks whether an active payment session exists for each scanned plate – via the mobile app or a pay-and-display machine. No active session means a penalty notice sent by post or through the e-Urząd app.
Key reminder: start your AnyPark session immediately after parking. Scanners operate 24/7 – don't wait even a moment.

In Poland big cities often have many zones. We communicate with the GPS module mounted in a mobile device. Before starting a parking session, perform a manual location calibration: On the app's main screen, locate the GPS symbol (top right corner) and tap the symbol to calibrate your location. After pressing the “Park” button another map will appear, allowing you to zoom in or out (use a two-finger pinch gesture). Verify that the pin indicates the exact location where you parked your vehicle (street etc).

Important

Important information for drivers!

We kindly inform you that, due to technical solutions implemented by the manager of the Warsaw Paid Parking Zone (SPPN), duplicating parking sessions is not allowed. Starting a new session is only possible after the full 10 minutes have elapsed from the start of the first session. If the session lasted, for example, 1 minute, starting a new session will only be possible after the full 10 paid minutes have elapsed from the start of the first session. In the meantime, a message is displayed informing about the ongoing parking session.
