Parking in Sopot – key rules for 2026
🆕 New rules from 1 May 2026. Resolution No. XXI/256/2026 of the Sopot City Council dated 19 March 2026 introduces two parking zones: ŚSPP (city centre, red) and SPP (blue), new rates and revised operating hours. The penalty charge is now PLN 300 (the reduced charge has been abolished).
Sopot – a Baltic Sea resort and one of the most popular tourist destinations in Poland – has two paid parking zones. The zone is administered by the Road and Green Areas Authority in Sopot, al. Niepodległości 930, tel. +48 58 550 59 55. The city centre is covered by the ŚSPP (City Centre Paid Parking Zone – marked red on maps), and the periphery by the SPP (Paid Parking Zone – blue).
Important: The ŚSPP (red zone) applies every day (except selected public holidays) from 9:00–22:00 (April–September) or 9:00–20:00 (October–March). The SPP (blue zone) – only Mon–Fri during the same hours. Payment must be made immediately upon occupying a space. A ticket purchased in the ŚSPP is also valid in the SPP.

Sopot has 2 zones (ŚSPP and SPP) with different rates and hours. You can pay via the AnyPark app (formerly PANGO). Electric vehicles (BEV) benefit from a statutory exemption from parking fees in paid parking zones.

FAQ – Sopot parking zone 2026
In the SPP (blue zone) – weekends and public holidays are free. In the ŚSPP (red zone) – fees apply every day except: Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, 1 November, and 24, 25 and 26 December. This is a significant change from 1 May 2026.
ŚSPP (city centre): 9.50 + 11.00 + 13.00 = PLN 33.50. SPP (periphery): 7.20 + 8.60 + 10.30 = PLN 26.10. Thanks to the "Don't Overpay" feature in AnyParkPlus, you pay only for the time actually spent in the parking zone. Rates apply from 1 May 2026.

Yes, Sopot Card holders with an active Parking Package benefit from a zero-rate charge: for the first hour twice a day or for the first two hours of uninterrupted parking once a day. Sundays in the ŚSPP zone are free – there is no need to obtain a ticket, as eligible vehicles will be visible in the system.
From 1 May 2026, a penalty charge of PLN 300 applies for failing to display a valid ticket. The previous reduced charge (PLN 200 payable within 7 days) has been abolished. Parking fees in paid parking zones are not subject to VAT where the service is provided by a municipality and the car park is classified as a public road. This applies to all payment methods. Receipts for accounting purposes for parking sessions are available in the AnyPark mobile app or via a web account.
