Parking in Gdansk – key rules (GZDiZ)
The Paid Parking Zone in Gdansk is managed by Gdański Zarząd Dróg i Zieleni (GZDiZ). It covers two main areas: ŚSPP (City-Centre Zone – sectors Main Town, Old Town, 3 Maja, Długie Ogrody) and SPP (remaining districts: Wrzeszcz, Młode Miasto, Dolne Miasto, Stare Przedmieście, Aniołki, Oliwa, Przymorze, Jelitkowo in season). Entry into the zone is marked with sign D-44.
Important: ŚSPP applies every day, including Sundays and public holidays, from 9:00 to 20:00. SPP applies on working days (excluding public holidays) – blue sectors 9:00–17:00, green sectors 9:00–15:00. Check the current zone map at gzdiz.gda.pl or in the AnyPark app.

Gdansk has two tariffs – ŚSPP for the city centre and SPP for other districts. You can pay via the AnyPark app, a parking meter (coins, contactless card, BLIK) or by purchasing a permit. Holders of the Gdansk Resident Card benefit from a reduced rate for the 1st hour.

Select the correct sector (ŚSPP GDAF, SPP GDAA or SPP GDAB) before starting parking. When paying by mobile there is no obligation to place a note behind the windscreen.
In Poland big cities often have many zones. We communicate with the GPS module mounted in a mobile device. Before starting a parking session, perform a manual location calibration: On the app's main screen, locate the GPS symbol (top right corner) and tap the symbol to calibrate your location. After pressing the “Park” button another map will appear, allowing you to zoom in or out (use a two-finger pinch gesture). Verify that the pin indicates the exact location where you parked your vehicle (street etc).

FAQ – Gdansk parking zone 2026
In the ŚSPP fees apply every day, including Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 9:00 to 20:00. In the SPP fees apply only on working days (excluding public holidays) – blue sectors 9:00–17:00, green sectors 9:00–15:00.
Gdansk has tiered rates. ŚSPP (GDAF): 7.50+9.00+10.80 = 27.30 PLN. SPP blue (GDAA): 5.00+5.30+5.60 = 15.90 PLN. With the "Don't Overpay" feature in AnyParkPlus you pay only for the time actually spent in the parking zone.
Gdansk has two zones: ŚSPP (GDAF) – Main Town, Old Town, 3 Maja, Długie Ogrody (7.50 PLN/h, every day 9:00–20:00) and SPP – remaining districts (5.00 PLN/h or 4.80 PLN/h, Mon–Fri). The zone is managed by GZDiZ Gdansk.

When using the mobile payment app there is no obligation to place a note behind the windscreen. In some situations, a "Parking with AnyPark" note can help the GZDiZ inspector quickly verify payment.
Parking fees in paid parking zones are not subject to VAT when the service is provided by the municipality and the parking area is classified as a public road. This applies to all payment methods – parking meter tickets and mobile payments via AnyPark. Receipts for accounting purposes for parking sessions are available in the mobile app or in the web account.
Electric vehicles (BEV) are exempt from parking fees in paid parking zones under the Act of 11 January 2018 on electromobility and alternative fuels. This is a nationwide regulation applicable throughout Poland, including Gdansk. The rules apply until the end of 2027.
